Become part of the Miracle Project community and your Sundays will soar with creativity and fun!

The Miracle Project at 92Y is a theatre arts program for children and teens with autism, special needs, learning disabilities, and their typical siblings.

Together, they create an original musical theatre production: writing the story, composing the music and lyrics, choreographing the dance, all culminating in a fabulous performance at the end of the year! Miracle Project at 92Y is staffed with theatre arts specialists, special needs educators, and volunteers. Parents are invited to help with costumes, props, set designs, and more.

Aaron Feinstein, renowned drama educator for children with special needs, is the project director, and is joined by Gabriel Lit, a board certified music therapist, and special needs educators from the 92Y Nesher staff. Family members are invited to volunteer to help with props, costumes, and the performance.

Miracle Project at Extreme Kids and Crew in Brooklyn

The Miracle Project in New York presents a 22-week drama workshop for special needs teenagers, their siblings, and friends. Aaron Feinstein and music therapist Gabriel Lit will help a group of special needs and neuro-typical teenagers envision, choreograph, and write their own show.

Aided and abetted by a crew of music therapists and volunteers, Aaron will help a group of special needs and neurotypical teenagers envision, choreograph, and write their own show. The workshop assumes a high level of commitment on the parts of families, both in terms of attendance and help with costumes, props, etc. In return, teens will get a very special opportunity to push themselves expressively and creatively, collaborate with their peers, discover the joy and madness of theater, and experience the thrill of performing.

The workshop will meet at Extreme Kids & Crew in the Trilok Fusion Arts Cetner in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. It will be held from 4:00-5:30 on Sunday afternoon beginning on Sunday October 2, 2011. It will follow the DOE school calendar and end with a performance in early April 2012.

The class costs $35 per session per family, which comes to $770 for the year. A sliding scale is available as well as scholarships. No one will be turned away through lack of funds.
